Behind the recording studio walls
Updated: Jul 17, 2019
I learned recording from my father. He was a tape recorder sales man in the early 60's. He gave me one when I was 7-years old. It was a old reel to reel with sound on sound, a feature created by Les Paul. It allowed you to record something and then play it back and record again on top of it, adding perhaps two guitars played by one person. So I was recording most of my life. Graduated to 24-track multi-track recording, and also had my own recording studio at my house that I used to record other local bands. Now with Pro Tools technology, everyone can afford to record. You just need to be creative and know how to use it.
